Best wine shop in town! They are so nice and helpful!
Very helpful and friendly, wide variety: I don't know much about beer or wine, but I get it as gifts for friends occasionally. Twice I have gone here with very little info, and walked out with gifts that impressed the recipients. The first time, I was buying for a Greek friend, and walked out with 2 bottles of Italian wine, which really impressed the recipients. The second time, it was for friends who like to travel to Germany, and we walked out with a bottle of German wine and a 6 pack of German beer, which brought a smile to the recipients face. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable.
The only place to go for wine in Greenville, unless you like grocery stores and having to figure out for yourself what wine you think is good. The owner, Brenda, is a certified sommelier and can help you pick out the best wine for your needs. The prices are reasonable, and she has a good selection across the board to choose from. If you are interested in a particular wine or region, if she doesn't have it, she will try to get it for you. On Wednesdays, they even do some wine tastings, so you can figure out for yourself if you like those wines before buying them. If you're new to wine, that is a great way to learn too.
I do not know a whole lot about wine so I was so thrilled the staff at Firefly was so knowledgeable. They were able to help me choose a hostess gift that was a big hit. Love this place! The owner Brenda, is so knowledgeable and friendly...she always picks great selections for the tastings. The store is organized and clean. Great selection of wine and beer too :)
