The food is delicious and flavor packed. I had the Curry Chicken and my husband had the Jerk Chicken. He likes spicy food and was not disappointed! I’m glad I didn’t order that since I’m a lightweight. My Curry Chicken was really good as well as the cabbage side. Bits of bone were a little surprising and annoying but I’d still order it again. That amazing home cooked flavor is wonderful. Jordan our waiter was friendly and attentive. We’ll be back!!
5 stars for service, but 1 star for the food. The woman who served us was awesome! She was SUPER nice and energetic. I got the feeling she was one of the owners because of how much she knew about and cared about the business. For her sake, I hope this restaurant makes it, but... as good as the service was, I don't think they have what it takes in the kitchen to succeed in the restaurant business. The menu did not appeal to me, so I just ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer. It appeared to be something you could buy from the freezer section at the grocery store. It was hard and crunchy, with no flavor. My husband played it safe with a burger, which again appeared to be straight from the freezer section. Others at our table were more adventurous and tried the jerk and Curry dishes, both of which looked absolutely unappetizing. They said it wasn't spicy enough, but it was "good", but they weren't enthusiastic about it. I think they were just being polite. Two others got shrimp and grits that they said was "okay".
They don't serve soul food after 10! So I probably won't be back after that time! Customer service is great! Atmosphere on Friday nights was chill! I liked it! Love the oxtails! Chef is cool as well as the owner! Both very down to earth! Im sold on the food so I will be back!
I should have known to stay away when there were only 4 cars in the parking lot! But, I figured everyone deserves a chance and I am a fan of Caribbean cuisine. Well this was definitely one of the worst mistakes of the day! There's so much I could say but what I am going to share- they heated my food in a Styrofoam plate in the microwave! I should have just settled for a less expensive frozen meal! The food was tasteless and when I saw the evidence that the food was heated, I completely lost my appetite! I will post photos. I just left and I didn't do this myself! I have no reason to lie! If you're going to serve someone microwaved food, at least have the decency to heat it in a real dish! I won't be back! I'll consider my $10 a donation!
Great food at a great price! They must have fixed whatever issues caused the low reviews because our waitress was awesome!
