This place isn't fit to care for animals let alone humans. I wish I'd never seen or heard of this place..

Already posted one that mysteriously vanished, this Hospital killed my dad June 23 2016 .. we walked in to have a minor procedure done and they managed to kill him while we were all there, he was never left alone unless they made us leave the room.

I cannot believe how this Hospital treats people. All the money they get from ECU, constantly building on to this Hospital and you treat emergency room patients as if they are nothing. I myself personally have sat in this emergency room twice for 4 to 5 hours to only be seen by a doctor for 2 seconds given Tylenol and exscorted out the door. I have literally watched one patient in such pain she could not stop moving in the wheelchair. I literally watch this patient wiggling from so much pain and crying for almost four hours. Myself, barely able to breathe and scared that I would stop breathing at any second had to sit there and watch while suffering myself. This last visit had me thinking, if someone was to just die in this waiting room. what would they do, continue making them wait in the lobby. I'm pretty sure this has happened. something that could have been prevented. if Vidant even cared about their patients rich or poor they would stop sitting these patients in the waiting room to suffer for hours at a time . I'm extremely upset because not only did this happen to me once but twice and from the reviews I see that it happens often. Since I know what to expect from this hospital, and you're going to have to wait, take your chances with WakeMed in Raleigh that's what I'm doing from now on. if I can make it an hour away I will have someone take me an hour away. I will never go back to this Hospital, not even for a doctor visits. I'm through with Vidant and all branches of Vidant.

nurses are nice and caring but doctors seem to not act like they care and also the hospitals fast growing but instead of adding more stuff that isnt as important to be in that spot like librarys they need to expand the er to have more rooms and get more nurses and doctors so the wait time aint so long i went in with severe chest pain and tingling in my left arm and walked out after waiting 2 hours and not seeing it clear out any and hearing people say they were their since 4 pm worst er in the state if it wasnt closer to me id go to one that doesnt have a long wait time its sad i hear people say washingtons is faster service and yet they stay just as busy if not busier

So I went to the referral that the psychiatrist gave me and now guess what!? I'm back at the hospital because I'm still having major anxiety issues. I can't make it 2 days for them to get me in to psychiatry. How hard is it to prescribe medicine for 2 DAYS!!!

The wait is freaking ridiculous. They need to make it bigger I guess cause all I hear is they waiting on beds.I understand they go by severity and there is an outpatient ED. But what if they are the ones that brought you to this place. I didn't even want to come here in the first place but I think my fiancé has a pinched nerve or something and can barely walk.

Now they say they will admit me again but then just discharge me again. I want to be helped PLEASE!!!!

And thank God I don't live there or I would be in jail because the good Lord didn't bless me with the ability to forgive and forget...

I arrived at 6 am for an anxiety attack and was helped promptly by medical professionals who were kind, caring and personable that really put my anxiety at ease. It is almost impossible to find mental health care on short notice so you have to use the ER or doctors at urgent care as a bridge to get you through. I waited till 12 (6hours) to see the psychiatrist. Absolutely horrible demeanor, looking at me like a number not a person. Just gives me a piece of paper and walks out the door. No medicine, no help of any other sort. For me that was a disaster. Now I'm about to have another panick attack, in a weird place waiting to be assessed and no idea when I'll get the care I need NOW. So I guess I'll just end up going back to the ER over and over till a psychiatrist can see me.

They will know if I ever get to visit..
