I had botox on June 6, 2017! A few days later I had large amounts of swelling and blisters form under my eyes. I went for a follow up and was taken into a room where I was then put on speaker phone with an MD. She asked me if I went by the name Andrea several times. I was confused as why she would be asking me that. Come to find out it was not even my chart. The MD also asked me 3 times if I had Botox under my eye area and each time the answer was YES! I am not sure why she kept repeating the question. At this point, I was convinced the staff had no idea what they were doing. The MD said I was having an allergic reaction. I asked her if she could prescribe anything and all she said was to ice pack for a few days. I had already done that and nothing seemed to help. If I was having an allergic reaction why would something not be prescribed. Well, as I was researching I found that if the injector does NOT know what she is doing and goes in too deep or improper placement of the botox could also cause my symptoms. So did I have an allergic reaction or was the MD not wanting to tell me the injector did not know what she was doing??? I now have pain on my right side and cannot even smile. It feels almost paralyzed like. I sent a message to a clinic and 2 days later the MediSpa calls for me to follow up on Wednesday about my condition. I am not sure If I trust anything the MD says or would even want to consult with her. I should of been refunded in full-I look worse now than when I walked into Beauty Bar. I have filed a complaint with the NC Medical Board. Nancy DeLeon
Words cannot describe my love for this place. The employees are awesome and I only trust Selena to do my face.She's very honest and professional and just a great person. I love her and the shop so much i drive from Jacksonville to get there. Dont hesitate on giving them a try. I have been going for years and i get better looking with each visit.
