NO! It's not $10 like they advertise, it's $30. You know that pool outside, the one that you thought was going to be amazing to have? $40 extra and no guests. Sure it has suana, classes, and different rooms to workout but really worth the simple workout equipment? Especially when the hours are very limited during the day. No!
With the new weight room, this is THE spot for weight training. Great prices. Great staff. Everybody is friendly and helpful. Clean gym. Everything tidy (very important to me).
In our case, we purchased the $30 membership along with the $40 pool time in August 2017. Since we never got the time or energy to go, we decided to try cancelling in late September/early October. Apparently the staff are incapable of cancelling the membership themselves and you have to do it yourself by sending an email and required a 30 day notice. We finally got the confirmation canceling email on October 23 but we would have to pay November's payment along with the yearly payment of $50! We said fine, it's our fault. Apparently they decided to charge us for December as well. We were put on hold 4 times and now it will take 4 days for our refund. Money gaugers!
For ten bux a month, how could anyone gripe about this place? I thought it was pretty good before the remodel and now it's outstanding. The child care costs extra, but worth it if you go a few times a week. They're always friendly and I trust them with my kids for an hour.
I never did any classes buy they were always full when I walked by (great sign, right?). I was very sad to leave this gym when I moved.
I've worked out here for years. It struggled for years to keep up with other gyms in the area. Since Rick has taken over as manager, he has advocated for the Greenville location and updated the entire gym. They still have some challenges but have come a long ways. Kudos.
Should I get a membership with Planet Fitness???
I would give them a zero stars if I could but it doesn't let me. This place has the worst customer service ever!! The $10 a month is a scam. Once they have your bank information they charge you for everything that they don't tell you about. Equipment is good but I would never recommend anybody there.
