I politely asked about a "stress free" chair and received outstanding service. I bought the chair along with several pieces of furniture and had them delivered to my home at a scheduled mutually convenient time. While the furniture was being delivered I decided I wanted to include another piece of furniture that I previously passed on...so I called the store and I spoke with the owner to inquire if I could add the extra purchase. He was extremely helpful and immediately sent the other furniture set to my home while the delivery men were still setting up my original purchase.
Poor service. Hours of operation are not accurately reflected from store location to website, and even if you get there within posted hours of operation, the doors might be locked while staff just looks on at potential clients through the glass. Very poor experience.

I purchased a leather foot stool from Bostic Sugg 6 years ago. Well it turns out it was not leather at all. It was a very good fake leather but now it is delaminating and cracking. It looks such a mess. I talked to Jackson's upholstery and he said it happens all the time. They let you believe it's leather, using that terminology, but it's actually 'pleather'. Be careful in this store, if you say , 'I love that leather chair' they won't tell you it's not leather. They will just let you believe it is.
I could not be more pleased, and I am very happy that my money was spent locally and supported a local business here in Eastern NC.

After wandering around the store for over an hour, desperate for someone to help us figure out what furniture would fit in our new home, we ordered a recliner while actually wishing to furnish an entire living area but did not read the fine print on the back of the order sheet. My husband & I understood that the salesman said the chair would be here in 6 weeks. Now 6 weeks later & multiple un returned phone calls, we are told it will be another 2 months but our credit card has been charged $1621.40. WE live in Chocowinity so it is inconvenient to stop by often. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU NEVER SPECIAL ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, only buy off the floor. Very unhappy, & did not realize the chair was being made in China. We thought Bassett was an American company.
