I bought my engagement ring from Billy here 8 years ago, in 2008, and he / they're still giving great service! We bring it here every couple of months for cleaning and a check.

Friendly enough but very flat. Staff doesn't have interpersonal skills and seemed very "whatever" about helping. They were knowledgeable and helpful though.
I brought in an engagement ring that I bought elsewhere to be resized and appraised. The resizing and appraisal were quick. When I went to retrieve it, the older woman was clearly disinterested with helping me. Multiple times she began helping other customers (who were older and obviously repeats) rather than finishing our transaction. Even though I did not purchase my ring there, its a shame this employee showed such poor customer service as my fiance and myself are now in the market for wedding rings. I know thatI will not return to Lautares to purchase them.
