Absolutely the worst shipping experience ever! This company subcontracts for SAIA. I ordered my item from Office Depot, who shipped it with SAIA, who subcontracted with Inter Coastal Delivery for the home delivery portion. Inter Coastal Delivery logged the delivery as "delivered" with both SAIA and Office Depot, but did not deliver the item. When I contacted Office Depot, they in turn contacted Inter Coastal Delivery, and was told it was "on the truck" and would be delivered "today." This went on for FOUR days! Inter Coastal Delivery would not answer their phones, nor did they make any attempt to contact me directly, despite my contact information (home phone, cell phone, and email being clearly on the shipping label). On the fifth day, I was finally given a contact number to the corporate SAIA location. I called them, and they called Inter Coastal Delivery. ICD told SAIA that they MIGHT deliver my item that day, MIGHT NOT. Finally my husband drove our truck to their location in Greenville, NC (60 miles away) and picked up the item (110 lbs - no assistance from them) and brought it home. They offered no apologies, explanation, anything! They are basically a "guy with a truck." I wouldn't ask them to deliver a can of beans if you want it delivered in a timely manner.
AVOID USING THIS COMPANY!!!
