I decided not to complain anymore, however, it is very clear that I should no longer attempt to stay at Wyndham properties. This is an aweful place and I would recommend not staying.
I arrived at the location on Saturday evening. Upon arrival, the parking lot was completely dark and I wasn't sure what was going on. I went inside to talk with the front desk associate (Jasmine) about the circumstances. She explained it would be just a while and the lights SHOULD be back on but did not have a definitive answer.
The lobby was nice, but nobody stays in the lobby. The rooms had furniture that us beaten up. Not just scratches, but pieces missing. The carpets are dirty and stained. The beds are small, the pillows were very uncomfortable I did not sleep well. They have signs that say no parking on the curbs, it slows traffic flow, it looked the staff parked on the curbs. It was not closet what I expected, especially at the price.
Carpet's had stains. The odor was stale. Furniture was stained, socket's were loose, headboards were scratched up, wallpaper was peeling, price $262.00 for 2 nights. Need I say more. I walked back to the desk and asked for my money back. Gave it back with no hesitation. I packed up and took the chance of a better and cheaper hotels with same amenities 4 miles up Memorial Hgwy. The owner needs to stop being cheap and renovate.
This hotel doesn't even deserve half a star. My husband is working out of town and stayed there last night. He was awoke several times throughout the night scratching what appeared to be little bites.... Only to find that he was being bitten by BED BUGS. He alerted the front desk in the middle of the night and was moved to a different room. I have called and spoke with the manager and asked for them to give him money to take his clothing to the laundry mat in the area. She stated they couldn't do that and offered to wash them there. I declined. I called corporate, spoke with 2 people on this issue and a manager from corporate is supposed to be returning my call to resolve this issue. I have yet to hear back from anyone. Spoke to the Health Department who stated that this is not thier first complaint of bed bugs at this hotel.....So my suggestion to whoever reads this and considers staying here, think twice!!
When you walking into the lobby, it's like emerald city. Nice tile and decor. When we checked into our room we were disgusted. Lamp shades were torn and beat up
I was able to look past this, however, the rest of the customer service experience was less than pleasant. The room was extremely nasty and only had half the lights burning. The associate changed my room to a room that was just as nasty but at least MOST of the lights were burning.
I would not recommend this hotel at all! When we got our key to the room, It didn’t work for the door so my husband had to go back downstairs for them to fix it. Once we finally got in, the room instantly smelled like cigarettes. The floors has stains, the covers didn’t look clean, and you can tell the bathroom floor hadn’t been swept because of the hairs that were behind the door. The toilet seat was not clean at all and on top of that, it wouldn’t flush! Housekeeping came and fixed it while we were out but it stopped again and my husband had to fix it. When we requested this room, we asked for extra cots for our kids to sleep on but when we asked them about it, they didn’t have any. I don’t even feel comfortable walking in the floor with socks on. I will never stay here again.
